Early design involvement creates a stronger basis for the entire project.
During the consultation, we review the property, site, existing conditions, client priorities, routines and constraints to identify the opportunities and weaknesses that should shape the brief and scope of work.
Plans, photographs and project information are reviewed where available, although clients do not need to have these prepared before approaching Patina Design Studio.
From there, we can recommend the appropriate level of involvement and prepare a proposal suited to the property and project.

What happens next
Following the consultation, we prepare a tailored proposal outlining the project brief, recommended service, proposed scope of work and design fee estimate. This establishes how Patina Design Studio would be involved before the next stage begins.
The consultation fee is $1,200 inc GST and includes up to two hours of consultation time, a detailed project brief, proposed scope of works, fee estimate and tailored next steps.
The standard fee applies to consultations within 15 km of our Dover Heights office. For properties outside this area, any additional travel fee will be confirmed after booking and must be paid before the consultation.
