Many floor plans are developed to satisfy planning requirements, construction constraints, budgets and timelines. While a layout may technically work, that does not always mean it will function in the most intuitive or enjoyable way for the people using it.
Patina Design Studio reviews floor plans through the lens of how a home will be experienced day to day. We assess how spaces connect, how rooms are likely to be used, where furniture will sit, how storage has been considered, the sequence of movement through the home and the experience from key viewpoints.
When layouts are still flexible enough to be refined, small adjustments to room planning, furniture layouts, storage, joinery and architectural elements can significantly improve how a home functions before decisions become fixed.
